Counseling Groups for Trans Women and Men

Dr. St.Claire is a field supervisor for the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver. Through her supervision, doctoral students in clinical psychology offer counseling groups for both trans-men and trans-women. The groups meet weekly and provide a professionally facilitated group experience where it is safe to express and explore one's gender identity. Group members make a commitment to weekly attendance and to respect group ground rules and may leave the group at any time. Prior to acceptance into group counseling, a screening and assessment interview is required. All groups meet at The Professional Psychology Center on the campus of the University of Denver. The Professional Psychology Center has provided low cost, high quality psychological services to Denver’s community for over 20 years. Staffed by more than 100 doctoral students and psychologists, affordable and confidential mental health care is available without visit limitations. Doctoral students attend weekly supervision with Dr. St.Claire to insure students are prepared to provide competent group counseling services to transgender clients in a safe and supportive environment.
